Colonel Jeffrey B. Miller served as Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police between 2003 and 2008. George L. Bivens was serving as Director of the Intelligence Division of the Pennsylvania State Police when he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and appointed Director of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in 2008.
