Omaha Police Department
The Police Department of Omaha, Nebraska, is among the departments that have sent delegates to Israel. Eric Buske served as Interim Chief and then Chief of the Omaha Police Department from 2008 to 2009. Chief Buske attended a training in Israel with the ADL as a delegate of the National Counter-Terrorism Seminar in September 2008. In his time in Omaha, he was known for creating and leading the "Weed and Seed Neighborhood Policing Team." Chief Eric Buske resigned in 2009 to become Chief of Bryan, Texas Police Department. He was a finalist for Lincoln, Nebraska Chief in 2016 but ultimately did not win.
